Jake & Lindsey’s Story:

2441-jakelindseyw-csIt’s been said that friends know you best…that’s exactly how Jake & Lindsey found each other.
Jake’s best friend and Lindsey’s best friend (who happened to be married to each other) thought these two would be good for each other…and they were right!

Jake immediately felt “it” when they first met while Lindsey tried to comprehend that this amazing guy was even REAL.   For 5 months, Lindsey pretty much ignored Jake, trying to find flaws that just weren’t there.   Lindsey finally embraced the opportunity God had given her.   Thankfully, Jake wasn’t tired of waiting!

Lindsey describes Jake as hilarious, handsome, with a magnetic personality with an “aura” that makes him seem trustworthy and safe.  In addition to treating her like a queen, he plays the guitar and piano beautifully, plus he can sing!  No wonder Lindsey thought he wasn’t REAL!

Jake describes Lindsey as the most beautiful person he had ever met.  The fact that she ignored him made her all the more attractive to him!  He loves her excitement for life and is amazed by her love for family and God.

After the 5 months of” ignoring Jake” and 7 months of “real dating,” they took a trip to Arizona to do some sight-seeing.  When deciding what to do for dinner, Jake said he would figure something out (which he NEVER does!).  He took Lindsey to a nice Italian restaurant (he even made reservations).  After 20 minutes of nervous chat, Jake said he had to use the restroom…he got up then got down on one knee!    All Lindsey truly remembers were his shaking hands, watery eyes, amazing passion in his words, and the fact that he first tried to put the ring on the wrong hand!

3118-jakelindseyw-cJake and Lindsey were married at Kimberly Crest House and Gardens in Redlands.  They chose Kimberly Crest because they loved the garden feel and the beautiful view, plus it was interesting and reminded them of their beginnings.  Big bonus, it came with an amazing coordinator, Katherine Blom!  They received SO MANY compliments on how beautiful the venue was.  Lindsey wore the perfect vintage style dress complimenting her overall theme…simple elegance with a romantic flair.

Soft pale yellow and chocolate brown natural colors perfectly complimented the natural beauty of Kimberly Crest.  She chose tiger lilies and calla lilies as her main flower because they are more “wild” and big.   Kimberly Crest itself is gorgeous, not requiring much in terms of flowers and decorations.  Can you tell that most of her flowers were not even real?

Lindsey’s word of advice–don’t let all the stress of deadlines and planning dull one of the most exciting times in your life.  Remember what it’s all about.  For Lindsey, she couldn’t wait to call Jake her husband, “having a true forever best friend.”   Lindsey, cheesy is good!

Kyle & Kylie

Kyle & Kylie’s Story:

Just by looking at their names, you know these two were meant for each other!  Kylie worked with Lamara (Kyle’s Aunt), at a restaurant in Temecula for three years before she got the idea of having Kylie meet her nephew Kyle.  Kyle, along with his entourage of 13 friends, went to have dinner at the restaurant to meet her.   The restaurant was busy that night and another waitress got Kyle’s table.  Kylie did make sure she stopped by his table to say hi.    When Kyle and his buddies were all done, he went over to Kylie and asked if she’d like to go to Starbucks after work.   She was very attracted to his appearance, specifically his smile, so she said yes!  Kyle arrived at Starbucks with a bouquet of flowers….aaahhhh!  She knew he was a keeper!

After 2 ½ years of dating, they celebrated Kylie’s 23rd birthday at Victoria Gardens with her family and grandma.  After dinner, they took a walk together (parents trailing behind) to a courtyard surrounded by beautifully lit trees.  Once there, Kyle got on one knee and asked Kylie to spend the rest of her life with him…of course she said “yes!” otherwise we wouldn’t be telling their story!

Here’s the really cute part of their story—11 years ago, when Kylie was in 4th grade, she attended her teacher’s wedding at Monteleone Meadows in Murrieta.  She remembered seeing her wedding pictures and thinking “I want my wedding pictures to look like that one day!”  She loved the beautiful pond with swans and the charming gazebo. “It was elegant yet comfortable,” having a winery-like feel, representing the area in which Kylie grew up.   Once engaged, that was the first place they visited and booked it!

Planning her wedding at Monteleone Meadows couldn’t have been easier!  Hennie (the owner) and Gaby helped her with everything, down to the smallest detail.   Not only was her cake lovely and delicious (from Jodee’s Bakery), it was included in their package!  They also used Hennie’s floral designer (Suzanne Smeerdyk) who exceeded Kylie’s expectations with her talent of bringing together her colors and style.  For her spring wedding, Kylie chose watermelon pink and chartreuse green colors keeping things “lighter and springier, a little more fresh”,  yet complementing  the natural beauty of the grounds.

When the big day arrived, Kylie was pretty much speechless when she saw how beautifully everything came together, including her hand-made table numbers.   When the moment came for Kyle to see Kylie as she walked down the isle, he couldn’t help but shed a tear (or two) of happiness.  All the elements came together, fluffy clouds, gentle breeze, close family & friends…but most importantly, marrying their absolute best friend.  Their entire day was filled with joy and happiness!

Kylie did a terrific job thoroughly answering our questions to share their story with  you.  It wasn’t easy summarizing everything.  So if you have a moment, we highly recommend reading her original response (see below).   She shares a ton of information that is not only helpful, but is fun to read.

To all future brides – here’s a word of advise from Kyle that we definitely wanted to share with you:

“Start working on your guest list as early as possible.  Depending on the size of the wedding, and your budget, this is probably one of the hardest tasks.  So start early!   Also, make sure that your day is a reflection of you and your fiancé.  Don’t get too stressed about the minor details…the most important thing is that the two of you are starting your lives together, and no matter what, that makes it a beautiful day! “

Last bit of coolness to share with you—as it turns out, those beautiful wedding pictures that Kylie fell in love with when she was in 4th grade, were captured by us too, over 11 years ago!   Yep, it’s a crazy small world!

Tyler & Aimee

Tyler & Aimee’s Story:

Who would have thought true love could be found amidst all the chaos in an emergency room! Fortunately, they weren’t patients, but rather, students doing the x-ray program at Loma Linda University. Yep, that’s how it all started…

Tyler was attracted to the cute, redheaded, first year student while Aimee was drawn to Tyler’s easy-going personality and humor. They quickly discovered they both enjoy thrill-seeking hobbies; scuba diving, roller coasters, cliff jumping, etc., as well as their mutual love for God.

Only 10 short months later, Tyler took Aimee up the Palm Springs tram. It was FREEZING and there was a little snow on the ground. Aimee saw that some people had written their names in the snow and she asked Tyler to do the same. But instead, Tyler wrote “ Aimee Marry Me”. He got on one knee…she really doesn’t remember much after that because she was “in the clouds!” She wrote, “Yes!” in the snow and used a pinecone for the exclamation.

Tyler’s mom did an awesome job with helping them plan the wedding. Aimee wanted an outdoor ceremony with trees and flowers. “Not on a golf course.” Tyler’s mom found the La Quinta Resort and it was perfect! Aimee chose warm fall colors (orange, red, green, & purple) for her spring wedding. Gold entered into the picture when she decided to spray paint leaves for the isle instead of flower petals. She also got super lucky and found the cutest green bridesmaids dresses for only $20!

Their ceremony was incredibly unique as Tyler’s dad walked Aimee down the isle. His dad also performed their intimate ceremony as the sweet smell of orange blossoms filled the air. Her most memorable part of the ceremony was the music. A song was written and performed for them by their close friend. Tyler’s smile was beaming from ear to ear as he admired his new bride. It was so obvious that they couldn’t wait to be married!

Their reception was at a nearby clubhouse where they enjoyed great food, cake, and visiting with their close family and friends. Their honeymoon took place at the all- inclusive Sandals in St Lucia.

Congratulations guys on celebrating your first anniversary!
